Cloud-hosted business phone service (PBX). Stop paying for a phone system that only works in one building — with a hosted PBX, your team can work from anywhere with a decent internet connection, and your phones all stay on one system.
What’s included
- Extensions that work anywhere — home, branch office, or on the road
- Voicemail-to-email, call forwarding, auto-attendant, and conferencing
- Caller ID verification (STIR/SHAKEN) to help keep your outbound calls from getting flagged as spam
- Zero-touch phone provisioning — ship a phone to an employee’s home and it configures itself on first boot
- Built-in CRM and call/SMS logging, no separate add-on required
- WhatsApp and other messaging channels alongside voice, in one system
- Works with standard business desk phones (Yealink, Fanvil, Snom, Polycom, Grandstream)
- Integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics, SugarCRM, Pipedrive, Microsoft Teams, and 7,000+ apps via Zapier
- [CONFIRM: pricing structure — per-extension or flat rate]
Built on Thirdlane
Our hosted phone service runs on Thirdlane, a multi-tenant communications platform used by service providers worldwide. That architecture matters for you as a customer: instead of every customer getting their own isolated, separately-patched phone server (the way many smaller PBX vendors work), Thirdlane runs as one shared, professionally maintained platform — which means faster updates, fewer moving parts to go wrong, and features that ship built in rather than as pricey add-ons.
Calling & voice
- Multi-level auto-attendants, ring groups, and time-based routing (different behavior for business hours vs. after-hours)
- Visual call-flow editor — see and edit how calls route without needing a phone-system technician
- Call recording (on-demand or policy-based) with automatic transcription and AI summarization
- Audio conferencing, paging, and intercom
- Automatic failover across multiple trunks if one connection has an issue
- Built-in encryption for call signaling and media (TLS/SRTP)
Call queues & contact center
For businesses running a sales or support team, not just a receptionist line:
- Skill-based call routing with priority levels and callback options
- Supervisors can listen in, whisper coach, or join a call in progress
- Queues for voice, SMS, WhatsApp, and web chat, all in one view
- Real-time and historical stats on queue performance and agent activity
- AI-driven quality scoring and sentiment analysis on recorded calls
Messaging
- Native WhatsApp Business integration — message customers on the app they already use
- Two-way SMS and MMS
- Bulk SMS/WhatsApp campaigns with scheduling
The Connect app
One app — desktop, web, or mobile — for calls, video meetings, screen share, and team chat. Make and receive calls on your office extension from your phone without exposing your personal mobile number. Screen-pop and click-to-call work directly with your CRM.
Security & multi-location support
- Single sign-on (SSO) support for Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, and other identity providers
- Per-user role-based access and audit logging
- If you operate more than one location, sites can share a directory, dial each other on short extensions, and be managed centrally instead of as separate phone systems
How it compares
| Our platform (Thirdlane) | Typical single-tenant PBX (e.g. 3CX, Yeastar) | Big SaaS UC platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams Phone, RingCentral) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Architecture | One shared, multi-tenant platform | A separate server instance per customer | Single-tenant SaaS you rent, not operate |
| CRM / messaging | Built in at no extra cost | Usually a paid add-on | Usually a paid add-on or separate product |
| Contact center / queues | Included | Often a higher tier or separate module | Often a separate, higher-cost product |
| Who you deal with | A local team you can call | Varies by vendor/reseller | A large call center, if you can reach one |
| Caller ID verification (STIR/SHAKEN) | Included | Varies by vendor | Included |
Note: this reflects Thirdlane’s own published capabilities and positioning against these platforms, rewritten here for our customers — please review before publishing to confirm it’s fair and accurate to how our specific plan is configured, since not every feature listed above may be enabled on every tier.
Note: the previous version of this page referenced a wholesale/whitelabel partner program under a separate brand (cloudconnexions.ca) for resellers — IT/security/alarm companies who want to offer phone service under their own name. Flag if you want that kept as a separate reseller-focused page rather than folded into this consumer-facing one.
